Program 1493:  Raise a Glass (January 05, 2012) Week 1

Most drinking songs were written long before the invention of motor vehicles.  Knowing most pockets and handbags are heavy with car keys nowadays makes us cautious when we invite people to fill their glasses.  Having said that, many a fine song has been sung around the drinking table to celebrate good company, lament parting, and toast whatever lies ahead.  Join us for some choruses from Robin Laing, Tony Cuffe and the Voice Squad.
